Project Overview
Purdue University’s Brand Studio Productions set out to modernize its studio operations with a cutting-edge virtual production solution. Their goal was to create a versatile environment capable of delivering both single and multi-camera productions without the need for physical set construction or time-intensive green screen compositing.
Partnering with Firefly LED, the team implemented an M Series 2.6mm LED video wall, now being upgraded to 1.9mm for even greater detail and realism. The new virtual wall has elevated Purdue’s production quality, providing instant background changes and unlocking a new level of creative flexibility.
Beyond visual impact, the installation has transformed logistics. Single-camera interviews that once required on-location shoots—often plagued by scheduling and sound challenges—can now be filmed entirely in-studio using captured backgrounds. This has streamlined workflows, reduced costs, and delivered stunningly realistic results that continue to impress clients and viewers alike.
