Museum of Christian & Gospel Music
Project Overview
When the Museum of Christian & Gospel Music opened in downtown Nashville, it faced a challenge every new attraction on the block knows well: standing out. Its Commerce Street home sits just off Lower Broadway, one of the busiest stretches of music tourism in the country. The museum needed a way to tell a steady stream of passersby that a new destination had arrived, and to give them a reason to walk through the door.
Firefly LED partnered with Jarvis Signs to install a vertical outdoor LED sign on the building’s facade using our O Series. The display runs 18 hours a day and rotates new exhibits, upcoming artist appearances, and sponsor ads. Since most of the museum’s visitors are walk-ups, the sign works as its front door to the street, turning foot traffic into ticket sales.
The sign also brought an unexpected benefit. Visiting artists love seeing themselves on it, and nearly everyone who appears on the display stops to take a photo underneath. That turns each appearance into free, shareable promotion for the museum.

About the O Series
The O Series was a natural fit for the Museum of Christian & Gospel Music. It’s built for permanent outdoor installations that need to perform all day, every day. The 8 mm pixel pitch is well matched to street-level signage. Using the 10x Rule, it looks its best from about 80 feet away, which is right where pedestrians and drivers first spot it coming down the block.
